Lament, hurting, raw and real
Lament for all that is lost
For cherished dreams, unfulfilled
For love that was and is no longer
For loved ones who have gone before
For happiness past
For silenced laughter
For unsung melodies and harmonies
For empty chairs and tables
Which echo happier times
For longed for embraces
Lament, with wailing, with tears, with passion
Surrender in the beauty of lament
For in dreams set free, in love released
In memories and laughter relived
In yielding to the giver
With grieving tears, with anger, with frustration, with confusion, with weariness
In yielding all that has been given, loved and lost
It lives eternally for us to cherish

That’s beautiful Damon. Very raw, but expresses the strength of emotion that loss creates.
That’s a lovely poem Damon – very much captures the moment and the thoughts that come to mind at times like these.
